1. What should I do to prepare for my tattoo appointment?
a. Be sure to eat a good meal, hydrate, moisturize the area, and get some rest before your tattoo appointment. You can dry brush or gently exfoliate the area two days before your appointment; however, avoid irritating the skin.
2. What should I avoid before my tattoo appointment?
a. Avoid sun exposure and tanning to prevent damaging the skin with a sunburn. Avoid being hungover or overly caffeinated as it can cause jitters and sensitivity.
3. What should I bring to my tattoo appointment?
a. Bring your state-issued ID or license, payment, comfortable clothing for access to the body area, snacks, a book, and headphones for music or entertainment.
4. What payment is accepted?
a. cash is preferred, Venmo, CashApp, or Square with a 3% fee.
5. How should I clean my tattoo?
a. Use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser to clean your new tattoo twice a day. Follow the cleansing with a thin layer of gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer (i.e. Aquaphor, Hustle Butter, Lubriderm, etc.).
6. Should I use sunscreen?
a. You can use sunscreen or UV protection clothing; however, it is recommended to avoid intense sun exposure for 2-4 weeks as it can cause damage to the tattoo.
7. When should I take off my second skin?
a. Remove the second skin 2-3 days after the tattoo appointment. Only take the second off immediately if water has gotten underneath the second skin and begin the tattoo aftercare process.
8. What should I avoid after getting a tattoo?
a. For at least two weeks, avoid swimming, sun exposure, and heavy sweating after getting a tattoo.
9. How much does a consultation cost?
a. Consultations are free.
10. How do I book an appointment?
a. Via phone/text, our website, Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok.
11. What is the cost of a tattoo?
a. The tattoo cost estimate will depend on the intricacies of the design, size and the artist’s hourly rate. We offer a free consultation to go over your concept.
12. Can I bring my own design?
a. Absolutely. We can do a design you developed as is. We do not copy other artist’s work. If you would like another artist’s exact design, please provide permission from the artist for use.
13. Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?
a. You are welcome to bring one person that is 18 years of age or older. They can sit in the designated sitting area.
14. Can I be on antibiotics while getting tattooed?
a. It is advised not to get a tattoo while on antibiotics. Specifically, an antibiotic like doxycycline as it can increase the skin’s sensitivity.
15. What about numbing cream?
a. For an extra cost, we offer TKTX Numbing cream prior to the tattoo appointment and Ebanol Numbing spray throughout the session.
16. Does your shop offer piercings?
a. We do not offer piercings at this time.
17. Do you offer coverups?
a. We do offer coverups.
